Burswood Park is located at Resort Drive Burswood it is just a 5 minutes drive in a Burswood hire car from the city centre, and has had undergone an amazing transformation during the last 20 years. This beautiful park provides a great location for recreational activities and is ideal for family picnics and barbeques, jogging, cycling or just relaxing under the sun on the Perth foreshore. Burswood park highlights include Swan Fountain, a range of natural bird life, the Swan Shell and the heritage trail detailing history by way of the bronzed sculptures along the way. Free guided tours are also available from 11.30am daily from the visitor information centre, and playground facilities are available for the kids.
Perth Zoo is just a short 5 minutes drive in your Burswood rental car from the city centre, Perth Zoo allows you to get up and personal with the local and native wildlife in natural habitat settings. Perth Zoo exhibits include the Australian Walkabout which plays home to our Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies, Dingoes, Reptiles, Wetland and Rainforest animals. Open from 9am to 5pm daily be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to experience it all, you can even cook yourself a bbq meal as the zoo has many facilities available or pack a picnic lunch. The Zoo also operates the Zoo Cafe, where you can pick up a meal or snack. Special events are also held over the summer months, including evening concerts on the main lawn. Perth Zoo features free parking this is available on the corner of Labouchere Road and Richardson Street.
